In what seems a case of history repeating itself, the NSA has arrested a contractor for Booz Allen Hamilton, equally firmly, that employed Edward Snowden, and commissioned him with unauthorized removal and retention of classified materials, as well as theft of Government property.

According to the Department of Justice, the contractor is 51 Maryland resident Harold Thomas Martin III. The criminal complaint against him said that investigators thousands of physical and digital documents as strictly secret marked found, if they searched his home on August 27.

TechCrunch reported that the hacker material code for systems of Government in Russia, China and North Korea. In addition, six of the documents were said be extremely sensitive nature.

According to claim Martin initially denied, with the documents but later admitted, stores it in his home and car, despite knowing they were classified. “Martin explains that he knew what he did was wrong and that he should have done it, because he knew that’s unauthorized,” the affidavit States.

Edward Snowden famously NSA documents to journalists adopted in 2013. It is unclear whether Martin the information in his leaked documents, or when he forwarded it to third parties. His lawyers told the New York Times: “we have seen no evidence. But what we do know is that Hal Martin loves his family and his country. There is no evidence that he will betray his country.”

While no connection between Martin and Snowden made, investigators discovered Martin’s alleged theft, when they leak who exposed for what seemed to be malware, which are used in the last shadow broker by the NSA. The leak took place two weeks before Martin’s arrest, suggesting that he may have no connection to him.

If guilty convicted, Martin face up to ten years behind bars for his crimes. If it turns out that he the information to third parties, the contractor may charges under the Espionage Act, face, as well as Edward Snowden.
